Have you ever wondered if there was a way you could make a real difference in your community? Members of the Independent Fire Company have been doing just that for over 100 years! We'd love to have you help us continue this important and rewarding tradition for the next hundred years.
You provide the time and the desire; we'll provide the training, the equipment, and the support to help you become an active member of one of your community's most vital organizations. In return, you'll gain the satisfaction of knowing you've helped your neighbors at their most difficult times.
If you'd like to put your skills to work, but emergency response is not for you, we have opportunities in supporting roles. Independent Fire Company auxiliary members play a vital role in the support of our organization. On occasions, the auxiliary members help by bringing refreshments to the scene of emergencies, supporting our fundraising efforts, etc.
We also have opportunities for the younger members of our community. Our Junior Squad program provides an introduction to the EMS and Fire service for young men and women between the ages of 16 and 17.
